Cardio for Fat Loss

You don’t need to do cardio to achieve fat loss but it is still a good idea.

To achieve fat loss the bottom line is you need to be in a calorie deficit, burning more calories than you’re taking in.

This is good news if you’re someone that dreads endless hours on the cross trainer or treadmill! But we still recommend that you perform some cardio.

Cardio has many benefits, such as:

▪increased lung capacity

▪reduces stress

▪temporary relief from depression & anxiety

▪reduced risk of heart attack

▪improves sleep

And yes cardio also helps you burn calories but maybe not as much as what you think.

How many times have you done an extra spin class or went for a run just to eat that “extra meal” or “treat”?

During that cardio session you may at best burned 200-250 calories to have a 500-1,000 calorie meal. Have you ever heard the saying “you can’t out train a bad diet”?

People tend to overestimate the amount of calories they burn from exercise and underestimate the amount of calories they eat.

Find out how many calories you can have to lose fat and supplement fat loss with some cardio.

We also recommend doing the cardio you like and you don’t need to go to the gym! Bring the kids out playing, walk the dog, go hiking, do something you enjoy!

Exercise is extremely important, it improves our health, increases our energy levels, improves our sleep, it makes us feel great and much more! Do the type of exercise you enjoy, do what’s sustainable and achieve your goals while enjoying your journey.
